Blue butterflies in a field

New Blog the beginning

Ten years ago, I gave the smallest nod when asked if I wanted to leave. What began as my escape from abuse became the start of a different nightmare. I wished he loved our children more than he hated me. From that moment, the manipulation started. When I spoke the truth about sobriety, it was twisted, and my children became pawns. I share this because no one should be alone in this journey. Together, we give voice to the silent love of mothers in waiting.

Part two of my story begins with a moment I’ll never forget. I was still living in the same home. One night, after I had tried to quietly leave, my keys were thrown into the yard. It was dark, and I couldn’t find them. I had bruises from my child, who didn’t understand and was being manipulated. That was the night I realized how deeply this had spiraled. I share these details because this is real. If you’ve lived this, you know that feeling. You are not alone.
